Hydrogen sulphide is the major gas produced during all type of combustion activities. So it plays a vast role on all type of industries based on combustion. It possesses foul odor, very poisonous, corrosive, flammable, and explosive. So it is necessary to control h2s gas produced from industries. So it is very complex to choose the methodology because it depends upon the Temperature, Composition and volumetric flow rate of the emission stream and Space constraints. Apzem engineers have vast industrial experience on selecting methodology and to design anh2s scrubber. In general, for Low concentration H2S application installing an Apzem dry scrubber would be economical option. For High concentration installing Apzem packed bed scrubber using Sodium Hydroxide and Hydrogen peroxide as scrubbing solution would be an economical option. The other solutions are using Apzem Bio scrubber or using wet scrubber with aqueous metal sulfate absorbent scrubbing solution would also serves the purpose.

However, Apzem type packed bed scrubber designed to optimum efficiency of 99% destructive efficiency by containing one or more layers of packing material to increase gas-liquid contact such as Raschig rings, spiral rings, or Berl saddles. Gas streams enter in the bottom of the chamber and flow upward (countercurrent) or horizontally (cross-flow) through the packing as scrubbing liquid is distributed uniformly to the packing material. Once through the packing, cleaned gas passes through a mist eliminator while the waste liquid/slurry falls to the bottom by gravity.

In a Packed Bed Scrubber, soluble chemicals, fumes, and odors flow through a specially designed packing media that is irrigated with reticulating scrubbing solution. Apzem dry type adsorbent works on the principle, when solvent laden air stream passes through a bed of high-surface-area solids material and is absorbed into the surface of the material. Apzem type bio-filter works by biological degradation to remove odorous gases from ah2s contaminated air/gas stream. When applied to air filtration and purification, bio-filters use microorganisms to remove air pollution. The air flows through a packed bed and the pollutant transfers into a thin bio film on the surface of the packing material.
